Earlier this year, fans finally witnessed the culmination of Ryan Reynolds’ decade-plus long quest to play Deadpool on the big-screen in a film worthy of the foul-mouthed, deadpan snarking character. Now the highest grossing R-rated film in history, Deadpool was a hit with both critics and audiences, and 20th Century Fox was only too happy to greenlight a sequel not long after.
