Though Clint Eastwood first earned himself name recognition in Hollywood as an actor, he has since made the move to working behind the camera, with historic films like Letters from Iwo Jima, biopics like J. Edgar, and modern biographical dramas such as 2014’s American Sniper. His latest directorial effort is the upcoming biopic Sully, originally titled Miracle on the Hudson, based on Captain Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger – the U.S. Airways pilot who made an emergency landing on the Hudson River in 2009.
Tom Hanks (Bridge of Spies) stars as Sullenberger in the film, which began production late in 2015, with a photo of the star and director being released earlier this year.
