Game of Thrones season 6 came and went, and now fans are left with an icy wind blowing through their hearts until the series returns. As far as endgame-setting seasons go, the sixth go-round in Westeros and beyond may have surpassed expectations with the same steely determination that it surpassed the source material it’s based on. Calling the season finale ‘The Winds of Winter’ was probably painful for book readers still holding out hope the words of George R.R. Martin might be first to thrill them with the secret of Hodor’s name (and the limits of his vocabulary) ...
