After a mostly disliked third film in the Sam Raimi trilogy, followed by the one-two punch of Sony’s failed attempt to relaunch the franchise via an origin story re-do and a disappointing sequel, Marvel mainstay Spider-Man was on hard times. That was until Sony worked out a deal allowing Spidey to return to the welcoming arms of his creators, and join the monstrously successful MCU. Now played by 20-year-old British actor Tom Holland, the Marvel Studios rendition of Peter Parker made his grand debut in this summer’s Captain America: Civil War, and proceeded to earn rave reviews from nearly everyone who saw the film.
With his intro out of the way, Spider-Man is currently preparing to swing into his own MCU ...
