The Guardians of the Galaxy aren’t just the underdogs of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by happenstance. They were literally nobodies to the general public, and even most long-time comic fans, until Marvel Studios announced that they were getting their own movie. To the shock of all (except, perhaps, the most hardcore Marvel loyalists), the Guardians were a runaway success, stealing the hearts and the box office dollars of moviegoers across the world. Naturally, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is on the way, and the trailer already has fans excited for more adventures with the charmingly self-deprecating heroes.
