Some movies are dumb. In fact, you could argue that most movies are dumb, including some of the films that are widely hailed as smart. These are the movies that feel like they should blow your mind, but also nag at you for some reason. Maybe it’s the way their plot doesn’t seem to quite hold together, or maybe the emotions or themes don’t translate as well as they should.
