Despite launching with some bugs and a serious lack of content, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege delivered something unique and special for fans of tactical team-based shooters. It quickly became one of the best competitive games on the market, and with updates and additional content released throughout the first year of the game’s life, the latest iteration of Rainbow Six actually managed to keep growing in popularity. Earlier this month in fact, Ubisoft realeaed the Japan-themed Red Crow expansion to round out its first year of content add-ons.
Rainbow Six Siege is basically the newer, better-looking and infinitely more dynamic Counter-Strike – and that reality is helping to grow the title’s eSports appeal. It’s quite a success story actually given Ubisoft’s development woes with Rainbow 6: Patriots prior to this which ended up being canned and transformed into Siege.
