This summer Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass brought Jason Bourne back to audiences. Given their recent success (The Martian, Captain Phillips), they weren’t pleading to get back in anyone’s good graces, but instead continuing to develop a character they enjoy. The results worked out well enough. A somewhat mixed critical reception aside, the film was a box office success that managed to tell a story that caught audiences up with where Bourne is now. Now it’s a matter of where to take Bourne next.
