In just a matter of weeks (as of this writing), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will hit theaters. As fans anxiously await the premiere, they have already begun to pre-order tickets for the first live-action spinoff. Thanks to another strong marketing campaign by Lucasfilm, Rogue One is expected to perform very well at the box office. Obviously, director Gareth Edwards’ film won’t be able to replicate the astronomical totals posted by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but early tracking is pointing to a domestic opening weekend in excess of $130 million, which would be an amazing start.
