Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is pretty much ubiquitous in pop culture nowadays, as a result of the wrestler-turned Hollywood superstar‘s famously unfaltering work ethic and commitment to his craft. The Rock is currently busy with the ongoing production of the new Jumanji (now set to arrive in December 2017) and is slated to play another brawny hero next year – when Shane Black begins filming his Doc Savage adaptation, with Johnson in the role of its pulp literature-born namesake. Between that project and promoting his other upcoming 2017 films, Johnson will take the time to work on season 3 of his HBO TV show, Ballers.
