Spider-Man’s not had the easiest time on the big screen recently, with his movies from the past decade having been criticized for being redundant (The Amazing Spider-Man) or overstuffed (Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 2). Thankfully, all that changed when Sony made the unprecedented move to share the rights to the character with Marvel, allowing Spidey to come over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Audiences got to meet Tom Holland as the new Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, and now expectations are high for next year’s solo Spider-Man MCU movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
