In the age of reboots and long awaited sequels, Jurassic World was one of the more surprising successes from last year. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens received much of the attention for 2015, but hardly anybody expected Jurassic World to be a record-setting film. Grossing $1.67 billion worldwide is no small feat, giving Universal confidence in their newest franchise; but when it comes to the sequel, connections have not been as heavy handed as fans would have thought.
