Game of Thrones just ended its biggest, most spectacular, and most dramatic season yet, preparing the way for its final two (partial) seasons. What makes this endgame all the more exciting is the fact that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss will be arriving at the sprawling, convoluted narrative’s conclusion literally years before author George R.R.
