The world of Batman hasn’t exactly been entirely child-friendly as of late. With a more jaded and violent Batman hanging out on the big screen and appearing in mature-rated direct-to-video entertainment like Batman: The Killing Joke, DC sanctioned the Ultimate Batman series to appeal to young Bat-fans (and coincide with the company’s line of toys that bear the same name). Since its launch, with Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts in 2015, the series has released more upbeat Bat-fare for kids and adults alike, including two full animated features and over 20 webisodes on DC’s YouTube channel.
