By their very nature, anthology TV series tend to be hit or miss, and despite being one of FX’s flagship dramas, American Horror Story is no exception to the rule. While each season seems to have its share of fans, some have certainly gone over better than others with audiences. Still, this unpredictability and constant genre-shifting also makes AHS one of the most intriguing shows on the air, as each season brings viewers new characters, new settings, and new stories, all filtered through creator Ryan Murphy’s twisted sensibilities.
Those not so patiently looking forward to AHS season 6 will be pleased to know that FX has now announced a premiere date, and it’s sooner than one would logically expect.
